"Green Timber" was inspired by hunting with friends in flooded timber on cold, crisp mornings. The chuckle of ducks overhead fills the brightening sky, and the first big group turns and drops in, as the second wave makes one more fly by. The sunlight trickles through the timber and sets ablaze the colors of the trees and the white flash of underwings and iridescent green heads of hearty winter mallards.
The original oil on canvas is 36 x 48, framed in an antique gold, and is available at $12,100.
