This 36 x 48 original oil on canvas is one of the first paintings in which Guy has captured the motion blur of jumping mallards. Anyone who has ever jumped a flock of mallards in close quarters has heard the rush of wings and felt the exhilaration of their speed and grace. "The speed at which these birds go from sitting still to airborne is astounding. In this painting, I attempted to create that speed and convey that sound by blurring the primary wing feathers to give the entire piece the illusion of motion. In corporate collection.
