Wood Ducks in Autumn Backwater - Giclee on Canvas
There are literally thousands of places like this one in rural Virginia. The Wood Duck thrives in this type of swampy backwater beaverponds. Twisting and turning and dropping in like dive bombers, these birds love to show off their air acrobatics. In this painting, I tried to capture some of those amazing maneuvers against the backdrop of autumn colors on a clear morning.
