Original Oil on Smooth Board - Framed size 34 x 46 - Image size is 24 x 36
This is the first in a new series of wildfowl paintings inspired by the works of naturalist and artist John James Audubon. Guy's long term plan is to create a series of detailed paintings featuring many interesting species of North American Wildfowl. Just as Audubon used a combination of research and mounted birds to accurately render his subjects, this series will be accomplished with a similar process. "I began the series with the Northern Pintail because of their elegant lines and feathering. "Rising" is the first of the series, and this original oil painting will eventually be published as a limited edition print. Framed in traditional gold with a beige linen mat, gold fillet and white under mat.
